Los Angeles---The Black Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County has
recruited its sister organization, the Los Angeles based Western Regional
Headquarters of the Congress of Racial Equality, better known as CORE, in
opposition to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and his oppressive regime. CORE, which is
headquartered in New York City, was founded in 1942. CORE is a pioneer of civil
rights in America. It is one of the big five civil rights organization. The movie
"Mississippi Burning" depicts three CORE workers, Chaney, Goodman and Schwerner,
two Jewish and one black, who were kidnaped and murdered by the Klu Klux Klan
in the state of Mississippi.

As a longtime advocate for freedom in America, CORE understands why Fidel
Castro's Island prison forces people to risk shark infested waters to come to
America. This is similar to the slave ship Africans who choose certain death of
the ocean for freedom, rather than what they knew awaited them after their
voyage.

The 14 year old Black Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County's founder,
CEO & chairman Carl McGill, has been a longtime supporter of Cuba's political
prisoners. As a 2000 Republican congressional candidate against Maxine Waters,
he toured Miami's Cuban American community to give his support against Castro's
Island Prison. In Miami he met Armando Perez Roura, and other Cuban American
dignitaries from various exile community groups.

In September 2001, the Black Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County united
Black and Cuban Americans to protest the 2001 Latin Grammy Awards in
Inglewood, CA. Unfortunately, America suffered the September 11 World Trade
Center Attack.

Carl McGill is now the Assistant Western Regional Director of CORE. Through
his new position, he has made CORE and the BCCLAC Black America's partners with
the Cuban community against human rights violations in Cuba. These
organizations have symbolized their support for Cuban political prisoners by
adding Dr. Oscar Biscet's picture and website link their websites. Visit
